How did this happen? Scrap? Cut from a full sheet?

The seller had other similar trimmed cards, but the other ones had the standard names at the bottom. I'm guessing someone had a little fun trimming their cards and they happened to have a Marquard with a name on top and bottom and simply choose to trim/keep the name on top instead of the bottom.

Sort of surprised there are no more comments on this one. It's T206 after all!! ..but probably as suggested it is a top and bottom name example with the bottom cut off.. (I see, T206 wasn't mentioned in the title...that is the death sentence)

I saw this one when it was listed, to bad someone trimmed it like that.

I am a little surprised this one didn't go for more...

That's interesting, Leon - I actually would have guessed a little less. The extra name on top is a rarity, but not one that's incredibly rare. That trim job just makes me want to throw up. That it went for what it did isn't all that surprising to me considering the nature of T206 collectors, but I honestly wouldn't pay more than like $20 for it and would have guessed it'd go for less.

FWIW, I'd take this card all day over that one:

I had it in my watch list because it was funky and interesting. T206 cards with character make up most of my favorites. Then I forgot when it was ending. I'm sure it's with someone who will appreciate it!
