Default Bruce Smith Autograph on a 55 Topps All Amer Card auto real or not? help!!

I picked up this Bruce Smith autograph Topps 1955 All American card about 6 years ago. I was told by the Ebay seller that its authentic, i don't remember who i purchased it from since its been so long. To my knowledge it looks good to me. I haven't sent it to PSA/DNA yet because the fee to authenticate it is $150 but just wanted someones expertise opinion. I own high end autograph items that are PSA/DNA and JSA authenticated. I'm educated enough on auto's, but Bruce Smith is a toughie . Any help on opinion would be appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

EXACTLY what I was thinking. I have owned some Smith autos and actively look for them and the first thing that caught my eye was the slant. He has a nice slant to his signature in every one I have ever seen and this one is very upright. I also dont really like the "r" and how it appears to loop down on the shelf.

Numerous examples of his signature can be found on Lelands site. Look in the December 2005 auction. This was the auction where Smith's family sold many of their items including a number of signed photos.
