Default 1990 The Shanks Collection....what are they?

So i have this card...have had it forever, no idea where i got it

on the back it says 1990 The shanks collection

I've looked up the name of the set...and no one else seems to know what the hell they are or where they came from
The card isn't bad looking at all IMO.

I always love oddball cards like this, I think that's mainly why I've kept it.

I figured this was the best place to post this, as most of you are super knowledgeable about baseball cards in general, someone has got to know.

I found that , but where were they sold?
Is it kinda like the old star cards or classics that were sold in sets?

Since the seller has 4 sets did you message them to ask? That is why I added the link.

It's similar to a broder set. Collectible issue, but not licensed to my knowledge.

didnt think of that

thanks

Edit* I emailed the seller, maybe he will send some info.
Edit 2*

this is what the sell said, he was super fast at responding

"These were to my knowledge not sold in stores and much like the reprint sets on the market were done by a company similar to Front Row who produced these sets legally usually a better quality stock and one of those oddball items that your 100% correct that there is not a whole lot of information out there on the back story and who the actual manufacturer was"

It's an unlicensed broder type set. At the $25 level for the set of 35 it's fine for that purpose but there is no long-term value as these cards were obviously never authorized by either the individual player, MLB or the MLBPA.
