Default Has this newest card release gone too far? This is downright creepy & gross

A good friend of mine (who is a full-time dealer in the area) sent over the selling brochure of a new card release.

Apparently it is the most polarizing card issue ever created, because while most dealers have been made privy to them, many flat out refuse to carry them. Those who don't hate them are trying to get their hands on as many cases as they can before they dry up.

My friend says it is set to a limited print run of 30 cases, with 5 boxes per case, 3 packs per box and 4 cards par pack. The design looks gorgeous, but I must admit, this is out there.

I'm not supposed to show the selling brochure as it is supposed to be dealer only, but I just had to post it, because I cannot find a single thing online about it!

I was told that the autograph mention below is a jab at 2015 Tribute.

Very slick looking patch cards. I like how they do not hide behind any legaleze and make it hard to determine if the jerseys are game worn or not. I'd rather game worn, but as long as the players wore them, I'm good.

I have no problems with this - this is cool!

As a fan, I love this. I do find it a bit tasteless though. How would you like your face on
a card when you just broke your ankle?

This is cool, but the back disclaimer makes me feel dirty.

How do they get these "relics"?!?!

Odd, but at least Canseco is in it!

How is this even legal?

Regardless of how "out there" this is, I'm totally buying.

If you haven't already guessed it, Four One is only available at Mouschi's

Here is a little larger view of all the cards used, just for grins.

The following players were not harmed in the making of this sell sheet article: Jose Canseco, Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds, Brian Wilson, Derek Jeter, Jose Fernandez, Mike Trout, Yasiel Puig, Nolan Ryan, Alex Rodriguez, Kris Bryant.

I really hope they do a Legends hair relic so I can get a Rollie Fingers and a Mad Hungarian (Hrabosky) as well as a Titus.

Thanks guys, for all of the comments - Remember that Canseco game used batting practice jersey I got that had pills in the pocket? Well, I ground one up and made an actual card.

Boy, do I feel like a druggie!

Here it is:

GREAT STUFF!

Thanks.

And why would I not be surprised me if someone actually did a set like this?

Maybe because the steps have already been made in this direction... at least with the hair. In 2008 they did hair.

Mouschi,

Did you really buy a game used jersey with a pill in the pocket? I suspect not, but it is hard to tell with all of the other content in this thread. Nice stuff.

Yup, that is 100% true! I bought a batting practice jersey, and he had what are probably ibuprofin (horse sized) pills. http://tanmanbaseballfan.com/2015/03...o-pc-some.html - I did grind one down and put into a card, yes Apparently steroids users use these to thin their blood so steroids can take affect quicker or something like that. So while it wasn't 'roids ... it was the next best thing

When I went to his house and showed him the jersey, I had him sign it. I showed him a picture of him wearing it for provenance sake, and later he showed me some video clips. One of which was an interview that he did while wearing the batting practice jersey I had him sign. He said "Yes, that's definitely the same jersey."

haha...first thing that came to my mind as a great card for this set is a game used jersey relic using a certain piece of this jersey

and of course the Curt Schilling sock would be another winner, lol.

Ooooh...and if you really wanna do something gnarly...how about game used chewing tobacco?
