It looks like Honus was older looking when he was younger. Kind of a Benjamin Button thing going on there.

There is nothing to say but.........Wow!

Now the real question is... Does he think it really is Honus? Does he think he "stole" it from the first vendor?

It's possible, nothing else he has is Pre-war. I would assume though before listing an item at this price the seller should do a little research.

Default Price is lowered

Looks like he lowered his price from $1900 to $400. I sent him a message and told him this was not Honus. He said he had done some research and that Honus and Ty Cobb had played on the same minor league team. He is just another crook trying to scam people.

I suspected as much but in my earlier post I was holding out hope that he was an idiot.

I had seen this previously as well, and sent him a message through eBay asking why he thought it was "Honus" Wagner? Was he simply guessing because of the last name? But then after seeing that he purchased this card not to long ago, I figured he was a crook looking to scam some novice collector. So my conclusion is he's both, a crook and an idiot. That's a bad combination, I almost feel sorry for him.

Well let's face facts. To post a listing at the original price with the assertion that his research says that it is indeed Honus, crook or idiot are the only options there are.

I politely disagree. I don't think Crook and Idiot are mutually exclusive to each other. I think he is both.
