Great 'kick-off' for the month, Brian!

Three underrated hurlers, for sure!

Has anyone else ever gotten annoyed by a card suddenly becoming available? A few years ago when I first started my Nadja set a board member had a Bemis for sale but I thought the price was a little high. By the time I convinced myself to get it, it had already been sold and I've been looking for one since. Well fast forward to this year and 2 showed up in separate auctions about a week apart. Ultimately I ended up winning both. Then this one showed up in Brockelman's auction and I just couldn't help myself. So I now have 3 of the 5 graded copies with the other two tucked away in partial sets.

Default t206 Brown Ghost

Owned this card several years ago and sold it to a board member. Happy to have it back in the collection and plan on holding onto it this time around!

I hope it's okay to post this here...I already did so under Memorabilia:

I do not recall ever seeing a picture of Lefty pitching.

Does anyone care to guess what year this is from...I'm just guessing 1920s.

A few over the past month or so.. switching the approach a bit to get rid of some "non-core" cards to focus on the core. Love interacting with other members to hear their strategies on collecting. I feel most collectors go through cycles on collecting, from "I hate collecting I am done" to "I want to buy everything". I am probably leaning to the latter right now, but ask me again in a few months!

I stopped posted on these threads since the stuff I got didn't seem "worthy," but thought I'd share this one. I don't have a super expensive scanner so the scan does the beauty of the card no justice.

Kin. This is a great card, congrats. Yes, expensive cards are often posted, but that doesn’t make anyone else’s pick ups less worthy. If you are excited and proud about a pick up - 100% post it. This forum/thread is for us geeks to share what we love and to make friends. Pleas share and share often, especially when it’s a pretty t206 Tris Speaker!

Just saw Sam’s post, totally agree

The raw one that ended the other day looked like it was a fake/reprint so snagged this one instead just to be safe. Adding it to my Highlanders team set.
