Nice Leon, I wouldn't classify that as generic, Reyes put out a really great looking postcard series of individual Chicago Cubs players too.

Would love to see some of the single players from this series. I can only imagine the breathtaking clarity. Here is one not as clear but with some cool content...and it's a double size postcard to boot...

Love a girl who doesn't mind to get a little dirty! If I had a time machine, I'd take her out and make those dimples come out! Great card!

Here's a 1920 Real Photo Postcard of an exhibiton game between the Chicago Cubs and the Kerrigan Tailors. Featured in this postcard are Presidential Candidate Warren Harding & Grover Alexander (fourth from left, hand on hip).

Congrats Jeff. Glad that you were able to pick both of them up. Those have always been two of my favorite postcards out there - especially the Baker. Great, great pose.

Here's a toughie: HOFer Jack Dillon's Bar:

Per cyberboxingzone.com:

Dillon was a tough, hard-hitting, aggressive attacker who moved well and possessed an abundance of stamina; He was considered by many to be a smaller version of Jack Dempsey, the heavyweight champion; Dempsey, who had never seen Dillon fight, once asked "Who does he fight like" ? "You" was the reply. Charley Rose ranked him as the #2 All-Time Light Heavyweight; Nat Fleischer ranked him as the #3 All-Time Light Heavyweight; Dillon was inducted into the Ring Boxing Hall of Fame in 1959 and the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1995

Anyone familiar with this postcard? It might just be the only Polo Grounds postcard from this era I haven't got and I cannot find it anywhere. Any ideas?:

Andrew, here is a link to a similar version of the same postcard without the added airplane.

http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedi...dium-152379776

For those without a worthpoint subscription the card sold for $125.

This is my first RPPC. I love the action pose, the wide-open scene, the old car in the background, everything about it.

Two questions for the experts: 1) Any idea of the date? 2) Does anyone know what kind of car that is?

Thanks in advance.

Bryan, according to a postcard website that stamp area that says 'azo' with 4 triangles dates from 1904-1918. The split back typically means after 1909 (I believe) and the catcher's mitt looks 1909+ too. The car seems like 1915 but I'm just using my instincts there.

I'd say your card is 1914-16. But it could be 1910+ too.

Hope this info somehow helps.

Thanks to Peter and Herb, much appreciated! Model T came to mind but I don't think this one quite matches, there is a spare tire and a few other things that don't look quite right.

I looked up old, 1900 cars but this is the best I could do.
This may be it but the roof is down so it is hard to tell.

You might have to take this one to an automotive museum, Bryan?

A little off thread here, but after looking at Jeff's and Bryan's cool postcards with Automobiles in them I thought this would be cool as well. It's the only News Service Photo I've ever bought but it just looked cool. To keep on topic here I would love to find a postcard with the same image and I would pay "market price" and then some for it!
