Default Sonny's Barber Shop. You mean Liston?

Sonny's Barber Shop in St. Louis is named in honor of owner/operator Leo Liston's Uncle Sonny. Leo is a former St. Louis police officer that loves to talk boxing and about the former champ.

On display in the barber shop is a championship type belt that was presented to Sonny by the Boxing Hall of Fame. Leo has about a dozen large matted and framed b & w Uncle Sonny photos that he regularly rotates. There are also several of Leo's awards that he won at barber competitions.

Let's see your Sonny Liston stuff.

Liston handed these out instead of signing autographs. They come in two sizes; this is the larger one. They are printed on paper and came in pads like memo paper. The writing is Mrs. Liston's. Sonny was illiterate and could barely draw his name.

This is the Liston card from the update of the Kid Herman newsstand set:

rare card.
