I know ebay seems to be the main arena for cards and the BST on here has a good following as well. Have any of you used Naxcom for obtaining any cards? I only used it once, purchased three cards all from one seller. Just curious if anyone else has had any experiences on that site?

Change your socks, drink water, and drive on.

I've bought from Naxcom three times from different sellers. No problems with any of the transactions.

I bought a card from their site once. When it didn't arrive 3 weeks later I emailed the seller, who said it had been sold months before and he'd been unable to pull it off the site. The Naxcom rep tried to talk me into keeping the money in my account, but finally (and very reluctantly) credited back my card. Never again.
I"ve found that a lot of larger dealers dump all their inventory on there and mark it up to cover the naxcom fees. If you go direct you can usually do better.

edited to edd my name.

Who sells on there? Any pre-war items or just shinny stuff? I thought they did some kind of promotion years ago with 10K being the first place prize. I do not see how that paid off?

and just in case anyone was wondering origin... the word "Spiel" is German for "Game" (or to play)

(edit to keep on topic)

I looked at Naxcom and everything was WAY overpriced and didn't seem logical to even deal with them...

Leon was correct in that he was using the Yiddush variation of the word spiel, even though he's not a full member of the clan.

I purchased one card through their system some time ago. I found it very confusing. I more or less left an offer and got nothing for a while, then got word I'd won. Seemed like it would have been much easier to just email. I've since tried to search there for stuff a few times and found their search engine was so bad that all I got was garbage and I could not tell whether the cards were even available. I haven't been on their site in quite some time, however; didn't see much point in wasting more time.

Full member? What more than having 100% Jewish mother and father and being Bar Mitzvah'd does it take? Can I help it if I like to eat stuff that tastes good? I go to synogogue at least once a year (well, it's a Memorial Service, but it's close)......shalom....hey....is this religion talk? Can't have that on the board !!!!

Schpeel is Norwegian for small fjord, so Leon used the word correctly.

I mean, who would want to hear Naxcom's small fjord?

You're correct Leon, you are a full member. Now, let's pick on JC and why he describes cards as a variation of hockey (shinny).

Hey- I think we can nail Leon for discussing religion. Elliot, you have control of that magic button, let's zap him!
