I have had a few cards sent to me with nothing but a penny sleeve for protection. Scares the crap out of me every time, but they are usually Magic: the Gathering commons that cost less than the price of a stamp and always show up fine. I just figure the seller probably gets mad at me for taking advantage of no shipping fees when I have a few cents left on an Amazon gift card.

In regards to PWE, what makes me laugh the most is how many potential buyers on ebay I receive messages from asking for me to not send in a bubble mailer with deilv confirmation for $3+, but to instead send in a PWE for a third of the cost. Ironically, I have had far more lost/damaged (even though it was well packaged) mail sent in bubble mailers with deliv confirm than in PWE.....I send out approx. the same number in each format.
