How do you store your large raw sets?

I just started collecting post war (1960 Topps set). I was wondering the best way to store large raw sets? Any pictures of your storage examples would be nice.

Mine go in penny sleeves inside a toploader placed inside a longbox.

They hold up a lot better than conventional binders and take up a lot less space. All plastic, archival, so no issues with metal bending or rusting. I don't like what 9-pocket sheets do to my cards, so I put the cards into Card Savers, then into 4 pocket sheets (4 or 8 per) and then into the binders. Office Depot sells the 1" ones (good for about 100-120 cards as described) there are also larger ones that Unikeep sells directly.

I recently bought a collection of cards that included many pre-WWII cards. I am out of my element when it comes to this time period and when I listed some of the cards on ebay, I was quickly told that the cards might be re-prints. I have included this card for discussion as to whether it is legitimate or fake. Whatever help that I can get would be appreciated

I use 3-inch binders with 9-pocket pages. I usually include a HOF player on the outside for identification.

My goal is to complete every Topps set back to my birth year (1962) I'm finished with every set back through 1965 and I'm working on 1964.

In my photo you can see my collection. The top row has a complete 1954 set and a 1955 Bowman set. The beginnings of the 1962 set and my half-finished 64 set. The rest are all complete and in order.

To break up the monotonony I have some diplay items as well. A 1951 Bowman Mantle, a 1951 Bowman Mays, an Old Judge and a couple of figurines.

Sitting in a stack on the right side is my other obsession, 35 autographed 8x10 of members of the 1969 Chicago Cubs. I am only six sigs away from having every single player from that year. If anyone can help out with signed Cubs photos of Jimmie Hall, Archie Reynolds, Joe Decker, Dick Selma or Hank Aguirre I'm all ears. I'm also missing Randy Bobb but he may be out of reach for me.

I had mine in binders like mfricke until recently, I have transferred them into Itoya profolio storage / display books.

I have them in 8 or 9 pocket sleeves, depending on the year, which I put in the books. It takes more than one book for each set, which I keep numeric.

I have started to use these books for everything. I particularly like them for larger issues like 1969 Topps Team Posters, Police Gazette supplements, La Press rotos, etc. I've freed up lots of storage space (I don't know where you graded guys keep it all) and it's easier to look at them than it was when I had them in individual holders.

I store mine the same way mfricke does (I notice he's a Husker fan )...although my sets from 2001-2008 are still unopened in their factory boxes as I plan to put those sets together with my son when he gets a little older.

the pic - nice collection!
may I ask, what do you use to keep those graded cards propped up like that? Is there a special holder that is good for that purpose?

Those graded cards are simply sitting in a small plastic frameholder that you can pick up at any craft store like Hobby Lobby. Look in the picture frame area. They work great for graded cards, tickets, etc.
