Here's a few. All have been since been sold, several to board members too. Those W590 cards are awesome, and beyond tough to locate. I have duplicates of the Nelson and Hagen W512 though. Sorry the pics are large.

This is not a card, but an advertising sign...it too has since been sold as Golf is not really in my focus.

Lots of cool cards guys...There is a local fellow here in town who is a major golf card collector...he has posted to Net54 in the past, but I don't think he has in a long while...I'll have to contact him and let him know about the new forum.

I have always wondered what his handle was referring to though.

I hope he does join us here.

But if others email him as well... it couldn't hurt.

I think you guys are referring to Dave Johnson, #1 on the PSA Registry for HOF golf cards (created the list for the golf registry too).

Yep, it is me...I actually have sold the majority of my collection off. I don't want to mention figures, but i will say it was very very significant.

I still have the cards as the deal will not be done until the first of the year.

yes that is my ebay handle..and I am selling off the last few remaining pieces of what I have left...some good stuff..(and quite rare)

Thanks for the nice words on the HOF set. That one has been fun. The real nice one is the 1900 Copes golfers....I doubt that one will EVER be topped in that type of condition.

I will get some scans to you all this weekend.

I am really glad that Leon has added this to the net 54 faimly as there are other great sports that have some beautiful cards as well.I love the Bobby Jones cards & now that I see some of these they get me interested in wanting to start collecting them.Ouch!!! Been bit again by that good 'ol collecting bug but I don't mind his bite

Maybe a better question would be to ask you guys what do you want to see a photo of in terms of vintage golf?

Also..shameless plug...I have a number of rare auctions ending tomorrow..

Thanks for looking and let me know what I can show off here!

Dave

Dave,

Can you post the Abdulla Jones?

Thanks,

Paul

Does anyone have any opinions as to how "we" should organize these threads? It would be nice to have threads for each player or set I think. Referencing might be a little easier...or I'm fine just leaving it as is if there is not that much interest.

Not sure it's "vintage". Not even sure it's "golf". Fishing maybe?

Paul, I am an idiot when it comes to posting scans on here. I could email you some scans, or if you want to see the PSA 8 Abdulla, check out the SMR article this month with Jack Zugay!
