Default Lionel Carter autos??

I have several random Lionel Carter autographs from a collection I bought. Is he a desirable auto at all?

I have quite a few of his on correspondence. I doubt they are valuable but are neat collectibles for us addicts. I will venture to guess only a few, at most, hobbyist signatures would really be worth anything (just a guess). I like Jefferson Burdick autographs and might pay a little for one if I didn't already have one.

I would be interested in a Carter auto as a companion piece. I can't keep up with the kings of companion pieces around here, but it's a start.

I exchanged some correspondence with Lionel about his T206 Eddie Plank, which I bought in the 2007 Mastro Auction. The letters provide a really nice provenance to go along with the card, but as stand-alone items they are likely not worth anything to anyone other than me!

What would a Jefferson Burdick auto be worth?

Don't ever think I have seen one auctioned, or at least remember it. I would guess that one would be worth $200-$400 based on his broad appeal with collectors AND the scarcity it would have. This is a wild a** guess though . It could go for a fraction of that or multiples.....Only way to know would be to auction one. And for any new board members, who haven't seen this, it doesn't get too much better.....(IMO)..
