Let's see your Photos of Ballplayers with Kids...
Mark's post in the June pick-up thread led me to start this thread. Be it photos, magazines, or any old thing that shows players with kids... Let's see what ya got!
Good to see Mark giving such a good home to the Gehrig with Christy Walsh Jr. photo. This vintage original c. 1937 photograph was taken at the New York Times Photo Studio as part of an advertising campaign for the short lived Huskies Cereal. This photo also came directly from the Christy Walsh Family. gehrighuskies.jpg

Players with kids
Johnny Vander Meer demonstrating the pitching technique that he used to pitch consecutive no-hitters in 1938 to the locals in his hometown Midland Park, NJ. This photo was taken at his parents farm immediately following the second no-hitter on June 15, 1938.
A photo of my father Jim Garner, HOF Hank Greenberg and Nick Altrock at Briggs Stadium circa 1938. This photo ran in The Detroit News and was taken by my namesake, Scotty McGregor who was a photographer for the paper for many years. Last edited by Scott Garner; 06-30-2012 at 10:41 AM.

Here's mine.
I'll start with aforementioned Gehrig with Christy Walsh's son. (Thanks Jimmy! It does have a good home now.)
 The next three are 1937-1938 hollywood promotional photos of Lou with child actor Bobby Breen. Te third picture also contains the Cal Bears All American FB player Sam Chapman.    Next is the viewing picture I posted 2 wks ago.  Here is a 1951 pic of Jackie and Rachel Robinson with family.  Lastly, this is one of my favorite photos of Lou. I don't own it, but hope to at some point.

A little imagination here for the player but I always loved this picture, I missed out on this about 8 years ago on ebay but if you look close you will see a nice Babe Ruth Scorer Fob hanging from the kids belt.

LOL yeah I had heard that. I only recently heard that his adopted daughter was probably his actual daughter from another woman. Supposedly when he brought the baby home he also brought a "nurse" who was the real mother. I think I read that his family even admits that.

my brother is on the left. And that's Lee Mazzilli in the center. (edit: in case the brown leather jacket didn't give it away.... this was some time in the 70s. late 70s I believe.)
