Default Stone lithography -only slightly OT

For anyone interested in stone lithography similar to what was used to produce most of the cards we collect there are a couple nice pictures here.

The prep and press are probably very close to how T206s were made. The overall working conditions likely very far removed since it's an art house in 2011 not a busy commercial printer in 1911.

Artists still use many of the old time printing processes-- woodcuts, etchings, engravings, etc.

I learned how to do all these years back on a hand printing press years back in an art class, but, don't worry, don't have the competency to be churning out fake Allen & Ginter Joe Jacksons.
