Default Baseball card/quiz question..lates 60s ealry 70s

There was a name of four players in 69/70/71 era ..the player had the exact same name.
They played four different pro sports ( baseball, football, basketball, hockey)

Example - Willie Davis- GB packers, LA Dodgers, etc..

But Im quite sure these four players with the same name ...all played their sports at about the same time..and where the baseball card angle comes in...they all had cards

Never heard of the NHL Brown but I knew the other three so took a guess. Good trivia question!

The Brown question brings to mind the winners of the NFL, AFL, NL and AL MVP awards in 1963 and what they had in common

Assuming you're referring to Jim Brown as the NFL MVP, which is certainly debatable, considering Tittle was given it by the AP and Sporting News, while Jim Brown was given it by the UP and Maxwell Club..

I believe the answer you're looking for is the number 32. None of the 3 AFL MVP's(Alworth, Daniels, Rote) wore 32 though..

Default 1962 v 1963

David...i guess I misremembered the quiz I saw. It was 32, Brown, Koufax, E Howard and C Gilgrist, who I guess won it for 1962 ( maybe he got the award in 1963 )

I don't believe Gilchrist ever wore 32. Over the course of his career he wore 2, 21, 30, 34.

I've seen this same question a handful of times over the years, and no one EVER gets it right, because Howard, Brown and Koufax were really the only ones who had that jersey number. The confusion often comes from people also adding ABA, NBA, AFL, NHL or whatever to the question..
