Default Ruth Gehrig ball opinion

A guy I know who has a card shop just had this walk in. Im curious. what do you guys think, best pictures I have..

Did Babe ever restart the "R" like that?

Yes- I've seen it like that. Just a minor slip or anomaly. I think they're both good, with the Gehrig example looking close to perfect. Most forgers don't bother with shellac either... and this shellac looks vintage to the time period.

I've also seen a couple Ruth's like that and agree the Gehrig looks authentic.
