Default Not really a trivia question: Just Wondering if anyone recalls...

what year Tampa Bay had 12 1st round draft picks?

I remember looking it up a few years later to see how the players did...and...not to well.

I guess the natural & actual trivia question spawned from this would be:

Is that the most 1st round draft picks a team has had in a single year?

Not bad I guess. Yankees hit a HR with a 1st round pick, maybe once every 10 years or so.

Most picks do not work out or take years to see them blossom or bust.

Many organizations do better than others. But the reality is it is a crap shoot. And most Win Now Organizations like the Yankees trade away vs develop their picks.

Others like the Braves, Tampa, and Dodgers do a better job developing theirs
