Default 1934 Tour of Japan Premium Team Photo

Posted By: jamie

Anyone recognize this Japanese premium which depicts the American and Japanese all star teams from the 1934 tour? It's a really cool looking piece and it sold for much lower than I expected. Is it very common- I can't ever remember seeing one before?

Default 1934 Tour of Japan Premium Team Photo

I collect original photos. And especially mid 20's to the late 30's. I have seen this one or one very similar to it. The Japan tour of 34 was photographed very heavily.. The cameras must have been flashing every 5 minutes during their entire visit. There are many many original photos of the players, their wifes, their opponents, on and on. It is fun to collect them. I have one where Ruth and Foxx are wearing kimonos. But yes I have seen similar ones such as this. I love them. There also many copies out there as well, so be careful. I feel that the originals are a bargain. A snapshot back in time. I love em.
