Default 1950 Buffalo Bisons - Does anyone know anything about these ?

I was curious if anyone knows how these cards were distributed ? In packs ? Give away at a game ? Mail in ? I have not found anything on these and was curious if anyone knows who made them, where they distributed them, and how they distributed them ? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Default Thank you Frank !

Very helpful information. I did not know they were Canadian issue. Do you have any idea how they were distributed ? Packs, Regional games ? Mail in offers ? I would appreciate even your speculation as I am trying to understand more about these 2 cards.

Thanks, JJ

Fairly sure it was packs of gum. The company is well known. World Wide Gum Co. of Canada made a few sets in the 1930s. They were often called "Canadian Goudeys" because they used a similar or the same exact designs as the Goudey Gum Co. of the era.

Example of a 1933 World Wide Gum Co. card (V353)
