It's PSA, what more do you need to know other than it would be a 9 in a PRO holder.

It does seem like PSA could tighten up their quality control. With that being said, I don't find the miscut obnoxious at all.

Actually I view these "b/w" high number cards as having somewhat subtle differences in coloration. This example has a color combination which is not as commonly encountered as other black + white cards.

But it is sure is not graded very strictly.

Edited to add: and who would want a player who struck out nearly (>40%) half of his at bats?

This Batter-Up card of Lefty Grove (#153) is a Hi# in this set. All the Hi# cards
are factory-cut short in this set as compared to the Lo# cards.

Who would want a player who struck out 593 times out of 1369 at-bats and had a lifetime batting average of 0.148? That's why all of you should immediately put all of your Lefty Grove cards on eBay. They're not worth keeping.

Gee, Connie Mack wanted him. And Mack has a reputation of being a keen judge of talent. I wonder ... maybe it was how many he struck out rather than how many times he struck out.
