Default East Coast National

We spent 45 minutes at the EAST COAST NATIONAL (Westchester County
Center) this evening.

Although the leading grading services and two of the top auction houses were present, the show was extremely disappointing, at best.

(1) Attendance was very light

(2) There were no major dealers present

(3) The quality of superior material was the "weakest" we have ever witnessed at a Westchester Show-- and we have attended more than two dozen shows.

(4) We did not find a single high grade E Card ( 7 or above)- most of the T cards were T-206's ranging from ungraded to a few 5,6's

(5) There was only one reasonably interesting piece of memorabilia.

If you are collector who demands the best, skip this show

Perhaps it's too close in time to the National particularly where the National had an east coast venue.

Default I agree with Peter

Way back in 1984; I remember the Willow Grove show was just a month or so after the National. Whilst the Willow Grove show was always one of the best, that particular one lacked a ton of energy. Almost every dealer and some of the collectors I spoke to back then said that inertia was caused as an after effect of the Parsippany National.

25 or so years later; same situation in effect. Plus some dealers who "might" have gone to White Plains in other years were not going to make an East Coast trip so soon after the National.

Regards
Rich
