Snagged this today! Looks silly for a 2! And my first Diamond Star! I was looking through a bunch ending today and it really is one of the more beautiful sets, IMO. I wanted to bid on them all but controlled myself. haha

Default Research goes a long way...

Description on the Babe Lot only described it as a Rare auto in a not often seen hand written format. What is interesting is that the Post card was written while Babe and the Montreal Canadiens made hockey history when they embarked on the FIRST ever European Tour with the Detroit Red Wings that saw the FIRST ever NHL Exhibition Game in Europe....the FIRST NHL games outside of North America. They would play 9 exhibition games on England and France.

The Babe in this post card speaks of," just getting back from one a few minutes ago", and is Paris. He actually scored in the game that he makes a mention of. Very historical piece with great hockey content.

The beautiful Cy Rigler ball just drew me in...

Lucky

Default N172 John Weyhing

Thanks to fellow board member Ben for helping me get this card. Didnt realize he would be such a tough card to find. Took me a while to get one. If anyone has the pitching poses or the columbus variation looking for them as well.

Almost bid that E120 Alexander, nice pick up Brian.

Here's another GC, psyched by the brightness of this 1914, and virtually no staining.

Default WaJo, Gehrig, and Wagner...

Probably my last 3 pickups in June... very excited about the Gehrig and will be submitting for authentication but having held it, it definitely seems good.

Thanks to the eBay seller and Net54 member who accepted my BIN offer (Hi Mike, thanks again!) and to eBay for its end-of-June 15% discount, I have finally added one of these pins to my WaJo collection:
