Default Pool Room - T206 Display Adorned Walls

Posted By: Trae R.

You'll notice the lack of a pool table... we're in a new house and the pool table will be here Wednesday or Thursday so no making fun of the pool room without a table and lack of window dressing!

Anyway, enjoy... and the small frame with 4 rows of 3 are poker chips from my casino travels... the rest is all T206 goodness. I just finished hanging it all last night.

Hi Trae,
Nice set up, but dude you gotta get a 50 inch LCD or Plasma on the wall..... That Tv on the floor belongs in the Kitchen.

Be well Brian

Sweet set up, Trae, but I gotta agree with Brian. An nice big plasma has to go on the wall where the poker chips and the souvenir sheets are : )

Trae-

I would reccommend a nice LCD over plasma. I build new homes and finish out alot of basements and do home theatres etc. I think the picture is crisper on a good LCD. Save the $$. Nice display.

Nice looking room. Is that a Pennzoni display that is holding your portraits? Just curious on how you got those cards to sit back like that.

I also second the LCD over the plasma. A plasma might catch a glare from that window you have.

Thank you all! The TV advice is worthwhile for sure. I may consider doing something like that in the future.

Jim, you got me.

Ben, it is in fact a Pennzoni display case. The picture is deceiving though. I haven't yet tackled the problem you mention - it's frustrating to say the least.

I have the same case, or atleast one that looks exactly like that one, and I took the cardboard casing that comes with recordable VHS and placed it underneath the bottom. It evened out the top and bottom so the cards would lay flat.

Thank you, Barry.

Thank you, Dylan. I am going to explore some inside-the-case method of fixing the problem. I would like the display to remain flush against the wall.

Hey Trea, Me thinks you could have one heck of a Tabacco Card get together dare? Sweetness is always tendered by the meek at heart...& these old cards are Sweet...I vote fur a card table instead of a pool table! As fur da Tube, a large shelf with every educational book on old cards would be my choice....& da little tube to boot...

Life's Grand,
Denny

with the money it takes to get a nice LCD trae could get 50-60 nice t206 commons. if you have to get a flat screen i'd suggest a 1080P set. I have a Sharp Aquos and even though the picture is nice, their CS is crap so I'd suggest Samsung if you go LCD.

Thanks everyone!

I have a triple 19" Samsung Syncmaster 930b LCD desktop computer setup that I use everyday for work, Quan. So I definitely wouldn't have a problem staying brand loyal on the TV purchase. We shall see. It won't be anytime soon though, I have my eye on a new car for the time being.
