What geographical location is this show? Hockey just ended their season which might lower interest. If you can get the average sell price, as mentioned above, you will do well avoiding fees.

I live in Nova Scotia Canada. Regardless of what I get for the card it will never be on eBay unless the person that buys it from me puts it on.But yes those fees are a killer for sure. That is one thing a lot of people do not understand. They see that a card sold for a certain amount so theirs is worth that much. The seller has a lot of fees that come off that closing price. I did see that the last PSA7 sold for well over $400.00 on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-68-TOP...oAAOSwxOJe6Gik |

Some of you guys are way high on this.
People are terrified of the OC and MC qualifiers. 8 (OC) means that you'll be lucky to get the price of a 6. A 6 sold for 220 on ebay last night. Plus, the PSA 7 from that link didn't actually sell for that price anyway. It was relisted, then taken down. If he wants to sell it quickly, I'd be satisfied getting 200 |

this might be an honest mistake or part of a seller scam to show an inflated price. But $400+ was not exchanged for that card. As an aside, I soften see sketchy things out of Ebay Canada and personally will never buy from a Canadian seller.

Winston, for what it's worth, I paid just over $300 CDN for my 6 about 4-5 months ago. Personally, I'd take my 6 over that OC one anyday. As John said, OC and other qualifiers deter people, me included.

They absolutely do! But I basically use 2-3 US sellers and don't really need to look beyond them. However as a US buyer, I think cross-border transactions give scammers another layer of comfort to run their scams (whether US to Canada, Canada to US, US to UK, anywhere). I am probably biased in that I am in the market for an OPC Gretzky rookie - and the number of counterfeits on EBAY coming from up North is staggering, lol

The truth of the matter is, if one can find a centered card then they are almost guaranteed to, when the time comes, sell it for a premium. Yes, they will buy it a premium but their chances of recouping or increasing their profits will be significantly increased as well. Also, since some cards are notorious for being tough to find centered, if one finds one, then it becomes a more desirable/rarer copy. And, like I've now grown accustomed to, centered cards are much more appealing as well. It is what it is. Many collectors have their quirks and the like but centering, as far as I know, is usually pretty high on most people's list.

Gretzky RC fakes have been around for years, and since this boom in prices, I am sure even more are now coming to the market as I'm sure Topps copies are as well stateside.
