Easy mistake; he must have seen all the T206 references and assumed that meant it was short for Topps 2006....

2006...geez..that's 6 years old. How much more vintage do you need, Barry?
Since it was printed before the next war, doesn't that technically make it "Pre-War"?

I know he's a new poster but the rules are clear about what to post where. They take 5 minutes to read.

Default Newer Cards

smarks---welcome here anyway. Which of the Gordon cards are you referring to ...the actual pulled photo card, the blank card or the cut out card ?

Default Gordon

Not sure what is more amusing, that they graded a cut out card, or that Topps created a cut out card...and a blank card. Only improvement I could think of was putting "this card is intentionally blank" on the latter.

I have not looked in quite awhile, but all 3 used to somewhat difficult to find, with the regular card being by far the toughest.

Welcome smarks. I like your style already. Do you collect '48 Leafs as well? That's a great set.

thank you for the answer to my initial post, which was a question seeking information.
this was supplied.
i do collect 48 leafs, but no so much anymore since i have gotten rid of most that i had.

the reason for my not posting before, was the pomposity of some of the members.
i wonder what they did after creating the heavens and the earth
perfection is a wonderful attribute, since it can not be impoved upon

Smarks: Hate to see you set off on the wrong foot here. The board gets a lot of "newbie" traffic (and a lot worse) and it tends to a state of disarray at the best of times. Could Barry have been kinder and gentler? Maybe so. He's been a little cranky lately. Know this: he is a sterling fellow. Many here will attest to that fact. Tone down your righteous indignation a notch and welcome to the fray.
