I love these regionals. I believe there are 13 cards in this set but the Sihugo Green is impossible--only 1 card graded in total last time I checked. Here is a PSA 9 beauty from the set.

Jim- Why is Green so tough? Was it pulled from production for some reason?

Alan,

No--I bought it raw 12 years ago and have upgraded it since.

Anthony,

That would be my guess. The card is ultra-rare.

But why is it ultra rare? That is the story that always interests me. Was it a legal issue, like '59 Fleer #68, or a personal issue like '48 Leaf Graziano? Or deliberate like '32 US Caramel Lindstrom or George C Miller Ivy Andrews? To me that is often what makes a set a lot more interesting. Anyone know why this card is so tough?

Any idea why these appear to be more plentiful and in higher demand than the Kahn's?? Or is it that the scarcity of the Kahn's reduces demand??

I think all Kahn's Basketball sets are incredibly scarce...especially in high grade. Essex Meats I would call moderately tough except for the Sihugo Green which is impossible--just had a higher print run.
