Default SWISH at the high, hard one:

I've been laying in the weeds a little...watching for a special card.

I found it, arranged financing and placed my best bid.

Had it until about 20 seconds were left...argghh!

1937 OPC - Bob Feller.jpg

The only saving grace is that I missed it by almost 2K

Not as bad as bidding double what it went for late last year, only to be automatically outbid at the end.

I was watching, but couldn't bring myself to bid big after knowing I missed out on several in prior years at a FRACTION of that price. I am not entirely surprised by the final price given how infrequently they come around, but I'm sure the seller is thrilled. It's a beauty!

I'm sure the seller is thrilled. I am hoping that the buyer will be thrilled as well.
Will probably be able to let you know that on Thursday...

With these coming up so rarely, knowing FMV is nearly impossible. With 3 sales of 15-16k for the PSA 8's in the last 24 months, at what price a PSA 6? I guess we all took our best shot at trying to answer that question.

I have already formally apologized for disappointing Raymond via PM
