If anyone can tell me I would appreciate it.
There are two ways:
1. If you have a flickr (or the like) account you can copy and paste the proper link(s) from there and your cards will appear.
2. If you have jpg's or what not on your computer, when you go to post, click on the paper clip icon and a 'manage attachments' window will come up. From there, locate the file on your computer and upload it. Then go back to where you were and when you click on the paper clip now, your file will appear under it. Just select it and it will appear in your post.

With number 2, sometimes the file will be too big to upload, so you'll have to go back into photoshop or whatever and reduce the size of the file. You want it to be (I believe) at most around 1MB or slightly larger.

Ok I'll try. I don't know what a jpg is, but I would like to show off my new additions.
I can build a house, but I can not do much on a computer.
I may have to just describe #s 10 and 564.

It's just a type of graphic file. There are also png, gif, tiff and a million other types.

Re the 56 Mantle, I thought the use of certs starting in 0 was a thing of the ancient past?

I purchased this 1958 Mantle in 1966 from a Wholesale Cards mail order catalog for 75 cents. My plan was to save up my money and purchase a 1952 Mantle which they sold for $1.00. My father found out I spent 75 cents for one card and told me that was outrageous and not to do that again. Unfortunately I obeyed him and do not have a 52 Mantle. I reminded my father of this years later and showed him the value of these cards. He had nothing to say.

Best bet on this is Authentic. You're better off getting it slabbed as a 3-player panel as Authentic than cutting the Mantle off.

Okay, took a while but I can finally share the best centered 1951 Mick I ever found, and focused, too. Had been hoping to get these three cards centered for many years, as they are notorious for poor centering. Need a new hobby goal now, lol.

Been buying more Mantles with my COMC profits while waiting for PSA to grade the 40 or so I have there (in a bulk submission of 136 cards).

Is that a record above? The Mantle image on it, with nothing but clouds above him, is really striking.

Yes, it has "33 1/3rd" at the top left corner. They made a set of baseball players under the Columbia Auravision label. Here's the back:

You would punch out the hold in the center and it would play on the vinyl side (Mantle's picture). You can see the threads reflecting at the top of the front picture.

Wow...sweet centered Mantles. I'm envious. It sucks that the PSA paper flip on the 52 would grade a 1 lol

Did you just pick up that 51 Bowman? I think I was looking at it last week on eBay and almost pulled the trigger on it! Absolutely gorgeous card.

Caveat emptor on '53 PSA 9. Seller does not sell baseball cards and has some negatives. No thanks.

He must have changed something up as I only see 100% with no neutral or negatives?

if legit, is that card really worth $350,000 or close to it?

100% is only in the past year. If you look at the "All Feedbacks" tab and go back to the early ones, there are a few that are sketchy and have responses.

Cert # checks out with having the hologram flip front and reverse barcode, plus scans aren't stolen from an auctionhouse. AHs don't photographs fingers in with the cards...

As to value, PSA SMR is $235,000 but who knows with a high end card like this and only 2 higher.

Nice pick up! Good luck on the last one--that one took me 7 or 8 years, and I had to trade prettty heavily for a trimmed version.

VERY excited to have picked this up in Goodwin last night. Centering is perfect, and I don't know that I've ever seen better registration on any '53 Bowman card, Mantle or otherwise. I paid high for it but hopefully it will be worth it once I get the card in-hand. My '53 set had stalled because I could never find a Mantle that I liked...now I can start it up again!

Default Rare Mickey Mantle baseball cards pleasure reading ...

Since the first 3 chapters of my book on immediate post-war regionals, Never Cheaper By the Dozen, concerns a trio of important Commerce Comet items, I thought this might interest some of you Mickey Mantle collectors.

My book is available as an E-book on a CD, which I sell via mail order. However, it is also available as a digital download. If you go to Amazon's web site (SEE LINK BELOW), my book listing offers a free "Look Inside", where you'll find the table of contents, introduction, and the first two chapters.

Chapter 1 involves a mint condition 1962 JELL-O Apple Flavor complete unfolded box, with Mickey Mantle as the free prize card. Since purchasing this rare gem 30 years ago, I've not come across anther Mick like it. It may be unique.

Chapter 2 covers the gorgeous and majestic 1960 Post Cereal Mantle.

Free pleasure reading with lots of information, stories, memories, and insight.

Naturally, should you decide to purchase the 478-page E-book on a CD, I will service you swiftly, and if you prefer the Amazon digital download version, it's a snap.

Best regards to all. --- Brian Powell

Nice run of postcards and matchbooks Ben! It looks like you are missing just one matchbook (likely two but haven't confirmed the remaining one exists) and one postcard . Are the postcards that you are showing duplicates of variations or just extras? And any postmark on the black one? I've been trying to confirm the date but mine isn't postmarked.

Alright Chris you have to show me the postcard i don't have! A more modern one perhaps? No postmark on the black last one but after Mantle's involvement i would guess. Just showing duplicates.

i know i am missing the Holiday feeling Joplin matchbook...but i didn't count that one since Mantle isn't mentioned.
And i do have the other tint on the one ear. There were two more a light beige and brown after Mantle left from what i gather as well. If you know of another please share

Thanks Irv!
