I don't think you can go wrong with either one.I would pick the Bowman. It has always been one of my favorite Mays cards.

I find the size of the 52 bowman set to be a bit of a disappointment. The cards are tiny. But, you have to buy what you like.

I'm confused. In your thread " Which Card " , you asked if you should purchase a 56 Topps Mantle or a 52 Bowman Mays. You posted the 52 Bowman Mays as the card you purchased. Are you considering buying another 52 Bowman Mays card?

Chris, i wasn't disappointed by the size when i opened Bowman packs in 1952, but my hands were a lot smaller then - even tiny, i guess...

Haha, fair enough . OP, if you have small hands, please disregard my post.

I would go with the 53 Topps personally, but I don't think your making a bad decision with either card. Good Luck

If I had to rank all of Willie's cards, I'm not sure I could put one of those two over the other. They definitely are two of his most visually appealing cards. Why not go for both?

I know this isn't one of the choices but I've always liked the 52 Topps over the rest of his cards. Between those two cards though I would go with the 52 Bowman.

Default Mays

I am with you Clint. I favor his 52 Topps card, and even the 54, over the 53
