Default Opinions wanted on this Ruth/Gehrig

While cleaning out a drawer at my parent's house, I stumbled across a really neat item - a 1926 Cardinals vs Yankees World Series Program. Pretty neat item in itself. The scorecard is neatly scored in pencil from what I discovered to be game 4 which was the game Ruth hit 3 HR after promising a sick kid he'd hit a HR for him.

On the scorecard in pencil there's two scribbles. One is Babe Ruth and one is Lou Gehrig.

Autographs aren't my thing and I know very little about them other than a simple google search. I'm almost positive these aren't authentic Ruth/Gehrig signatures but I just want to hear it from people who know about these things.

Thoughts on these?

Ha, kind of what I was expecting. Just wanted to confirm. It's still a neat item even though some punk scribbled a couple names on it some time in the last 90 years.

Is this an early April Fool's joke?

LOL, not really. Maybe I was a little hopeful that Gehrig had a different signature early in his career or something.

Oh well, it's still a '26 WS program and that's pretty cool.

I would check to see if the program is real as well?
