Default Scans

JoePa (..and Smokey Burgess) - please find a scanner - PLEASE!

You can get one for $30, you can have a friend scan them for you, you can ask someone at the library, family member, etc. NOBODY is going to show any interest without a scan - it's hard enough to figure out what you're trying to do deciphering the cryptic text let alone not having any type of scan. No responses and re-entering the same text day after day has got to be frustrating for you. I get it that you're older, so are many of the members - that's really no excuse.

Please don't be insulted - you both sound like terrific people with wonderful cards I would love to see and perhaps do business with you .. but I know I'm not alone feeling disinterested and dead-in-the-water when you tee-up text without pictures.

I am also very interested in a number of cards that you put up day after day. The bottom line, however, is I would never buy or trade for something that I could not see first. Scanners are now cheap and have gotten easy to use. I am sure many here would be willing to help walk you through the steps.

Jeff

Ed- I've told Joe (who seems to be a nice guy) the same thing. As for user SmokeyBurgess, I've done a few deals with him and everything is as described. Plenty of detail from him too, a real decent fella.

Jarrod - thanks, no doubt, and really not my place to say anything - just trying to help/suggest. Hard to gauge and gain much interest w/out a scan. Sad seeing Joe's posts and Smokey's auctions get such little traction bcse for many of us it's hard to make a leap of faith sight unseen.

Joe is a great guy and I recruited him from across the street...He doesnt have a scanner but will send you the cards before the trade is complete to examine...We have done a couple of trades...He is a tough trader so be ready.

Default sans scan

Appreciate the advice fellows, but have no plans to ever scan.

I don't even have cable TV or a cell phone. Shoot, I wish we could go back to analog...lol

I have found a small niche here at Net54 and have enjoyed reading the posts and making an occasional trade or sell.

I have traded with Joepa as well. He is Top Notch in my book. Joepa will send cards first and makes sure that you are happy with the cards. Traders should have no problem with him. Drew
