Default T3 Magee auction for Charity - Results

Posted By: Jim Loewke

Hello, I am auctioning a T3 Magee card so all the funds can be sent to help feed impoverished children. This is the same card that Dave (t206wagner) charity auctioned back on 25 Mar 2007 - can be seen in archives. The money will be sent to Cross International Catholic Outreach for programs 0143 and 0246 split equally. You can verify this at their website WWW.crosscatholic.org and then go under the program listing section. They help children who can't help themselves. No names are given out. I am sure we do not all agree with their beliefs but this is certainly one thing they do completely right. Hope we can send a nice amount to help out. Ask any questions, I am not offended.
Will start bidding at $10.
Would like to wrap it up next Wednesday night 3 Oct 2007 at 8PM.
Thanks for helping,
Jim Loewke

$250

(I know I just bid against myself. I come from a childhood filled with bugs bunny cartoons - so this type of activity is understandable. )

And c'mon its for charity so its worth $25 to bump this!

I am blown away to see how much has been raised in such a short period of time. Unto this, I will match with my own cash the high bid up to $500. If bidding stops now at $275, I will put in another $275 out of my own pocket. If it goes up to $500, I will add another $500. If it goes above $500, I will still match at $500 (sorry). Furthermore, if anyone needs proof of said donations, I am happy and willing to send Leon a bank check made out to the charity for him to forward to the charity; I will include a stamped envelope so he incurs no cost.
THANK YOU for the generosity you have shown to those that need it the most.

You donate a card and will match the bid to boot - what a
fantastic gesture to a worthwhile charity. I've dealt w/
you several times and you great to deal with.

So lets bump it up to $290....jay

Jim- I don't have the money to spend to go higher with this card, but seeing this auction, and having just completed a transaction with you where you showed the same character, I can really say you're a true quality person in this hobby that needs more people like you.
Especially considering the turn this board has been taking this week, this post deserves to go right to the top, so the best thing I can do is bump the post.

Seth B.

I think this hobby is full of great people. This board is an indicator too. In that vein I will donate $200 of banner advertising money to your cause. The hobby needs more folks like yourself, Jim. Please send your address to my email and I will get a check out tomorrow. Good luck with the card... regards

To Bob Freedman and Leon and everyone, truly classy people on N54; you are helping children who need help the most. My thanks is nothing compared to the thanks and hugs you would get from children you are helping. The website is WWW.crosscatholic.org and look for program #0143 and 0246. Or choose another program you prefer; they have many. Better to send the money directly there, than have me forward it. I wish I could say something more than thanks. Bless you for helping others. If I made a mistake on the website, please contact me; my e-mail address is at top.

SO far, the high bid is at $400; with my match at $400 and Leon and Bob pledges, along with an offline private donation, there will be at least $1200 going to the charity to get food and medicine to children who need it the most. Thanks to N54 for making a real difference in childrens lives. Also well done to those who contribute to other charities and help out in countless other ways to make those less fortunate children live a lot better. Auction goes until this Wednesday night 8 PM. Thanks to all,
jim

Actually the amount is another $350 higher; i forgot about another N54 member who has pledged to make a charity contribution in that amount; so the total is actually $1550 for charity. Outstanding!

This is a great cause and this thread should be near the top until the end of this fundraising effort.

I have traded with Jim L on a number of occassions and he is as good and as straightforward a guy as you will find in this hobby. We need more people like Jim and we need more threads of this nature, especially considering the direction this board has been going this past week or so.
