Default Mickey Mantle display

I finally found a Mantle autographed baseball (which included HOF '74) to finish my Mantle display in my basement.

I'm still looking for a centered '48 Bowman Musial and I'll have his display finished.

I love the display. Nice Bobbin Head Doll, and I love the rookies.

Indeed nice. Was wondering how are those slabs adhered? I see a motion sensor, are the others lights or more sensors? Have you thought about a plexiglass front?

I bought a dealers showcase (it can be mounted to a wall if need be)
I liked it, since i can lock it up and keep the unwanted butterfingers away!

The slabs are adhered with double-faced tape. There is a plexiglass front on this display and on all of my displays.
I have two separate alarm systems in my house (I do this type of stuff as a hobby). Each display has entry sensors and glass break sensors. I also have camera's recording directly to the internet just in case. It may seem like overkill but as I noted, I like messing around with electronics and consider my house a "test location" for new electronic products.

Chris, great display and even better cards! Namath RC is next on my list. It looks like you have a nice one. I've been looking for over two years. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice displays, especially the Mantles! The '51 Bowman and '52 Topps are on my wish list (along with a few other Mantles ) .

Love the displays! I know my own cards brought me so much more joy once they escaped the shoebox and made it to my wall.

Beautiful displays guys. I'm sure you get much more enjoyment with your treasures displayed vs. being stored in a closet like my stuff.

These displays makes me want to showcase by Aaron stuff and get over my fear of light fading the color. My plan has been to get a display case that I can cover with a thick black sheet to protect it from light.

I worried a bit about light also. Not that it's 100% effective, but I always keep the shades closed in my Aaron room. As someone who collects only for the enjoyment and not to ever see a dime, I'm okay with whatever small degradation might occur over time. And I also tend to avoid the pricey high grade cards that would suffer the most from those god-awful photons that populate our universe.

My displays are in my basement family room. Some have been displayed for almost ten years. There is very little light that enters the small basement windows. I haven't noticed any fading. I'm going to check into Tru Vue Conservation Clear one of these days.

This is a 2 yr old picture of my display case - have to take some more current pics, as it has a lot more of everything in it!! Haha. I have double blackout shades on the windows and haven't noticed any fading. I agree with the other posters that the collection is SO much more enjoyable out non display!!

Nice display. I rotated 90 degrees so it's easier to look at

AMAZING!!!! now thats something i like to do. Also some incredible eye for cards and good choices on those Babes!
One day i will add some of those that you have showing...i was thinking of going the Cobb route myself before the Babe and doing a 4 card display of the 1909 t206's.

Here's an updated shot of the display case! There are two mantles in there, so fits with the thread : )

I have some close up shots too if anyone wants to see...

Sorry, still can't figure out how to rotate.

PSA8 Wilt RC Nice!

If you get a chance it would be great to see close up pictures of each level. If you email them to me I'll rotate them (if necessary).

An throwing in my Top 50 display. Missing my favorite player, Hank Aaron, since he actually gets an entire wall!

My thanks to a board member for that great Hornsby near the upper right.
