Default Baseball Stars Notebook/ OT

I have a Baseball Stars Notebook with Ty Cobb on the cover. Inside are about 40 games scored in pencil dated June 24, 1912 thru September 12, 1912. Written in pencil "at Winebrenerville or at Newmanton". Are these the cities the games were played. Not sure if the spelling is correct. New York or new Jersey?

Thanks joe

Andy, here is a scan of the cover and 1 page of box scores. Also, on the Old Cardboard website they have all known covers. After looking at some of box score information, it looks like maybe kids were playing there own baseball game with a game at that time. Players are from different teams. Not real game box scores I guess.

Maybe the earliest record of a fantasy baseball league!

its in a Mathewson Notebook. The theory that it is a Fantasy game is, I believe, correct. I researched it and could find no towns in the US with the names Winebrennerville and Newmanton but did find that Winebrenner and Newman are surnames that I suspect were the names of the kids playing these games. Mine runs during 1911.

That is pretty amazing that these 2 books would show up on the board with the same names at the bottom. Wow!
