Default Indispensable collecting books

For a guy like me who collects everything except cards and uniforms, are there other great reference books out there?

This a great one if I do say so myself

http://www.dugouttreasures.com/book.cfm

Full disclosure...its my most recent work and plenty are still available. If you are an enthusiast of vintage gloves, bats, related equipment, and ephemera, we really do think you'll enjoy it.

I attached some images of the book here below so that you can get a bit of an idea as to what its like.

Best,
Jonathan

Along with the Cycleback online manuals, this is one of the bibles for Baseball photography collectors.

I think I shall order one. It looks like you mostly cover stuff that is out of my price range, but it is always fun to look. Kinda like with this one...

Rob- I have two copies of the Smithsonian book. It is my "go to" book to just stare at!

Memorabilia porn

I actually started this thread wondering if there were more good price guide type books like the ones I pictured...

While not all strictly price guides, here are a few that I make use of (some more regularly than others):

A few more (last post cut me off at 18 ):

And pretty much just reference sources to support the other areas of collecting from here on:

Adding cards into the mix would add a few more books, branching out into other sports besides baseball a few more, and including non-sport collectibles would more than double the list (for me at least). Lots of good stuff out there, but I'm sure there's still some not included that fell through the cracks. I'm always looking for GOOD references on collectibles as well, and would love to hear any other suggestions overlooked here.

Jeepers Lance, that's a true library of reference/price guides!
Definitely a lot of terrific info to have at your disposal.

I've said it before, I'm like a junkie when it comes to good references. Consider this my equivalent to showing off pics of a prized pot plant

Great Topic. I have a few others I'll post later

This book does have unis, but it also has some memorabilia, bats, balls, etc.

Love this one look at it frequently

This is a good not great book, but there are a lot of pieces I've never seen anyplace else.

Lance covered it very well, but I would add the pennant guide written by one of our members, and Lou Lipset's 3-in-one volume.
