HOFer with rare back for the issue. One of my favorite images in the set. and I'll pick up the shipping costs to U.S. residences.

Eddie always has that "couldn't care less face and posture" and this issue is no e exception. Nevertheless, probably the greatest second baseman of all time.
Nice card.

Minor gripe but can people please refrain from posting "I'll take it" and then renegotiate the price and then not pay when you say you are going to?

It makes other people think the card is gone when it is still for sale.

I would like to know if this situation happens very often. Once or twice can be a mistake but we wouldn't want it to be a habit. Anyone that gets in the habit of saying they will take it, only to renegotiate, wouldn't be a good long term member.

Minor gripe but can people please refrain from calling out other members on the details of a negotiation?? It makes you look like a f*cking woman. Thanks

For whatever reason it didn't work doesn't need to be everybody's business. Care to post on your past awful sexual experiences as well? You need to either get laid or find another hobby.

If you say "I'll take it" that should be without further negotiation. "Pm sent" would indicate interest.
Nice card Jason. Best of luck with it.

Agreed, I hardly find anything womanly at all about Jason's post.
That is unless I misunderstand the meaning of "I'll take it."

A lot of these newer posters are adding a lot of drama to the board.

I don't see how getting laid would help sell a baseball card to a guy who said he'd buy it and then decided not to.

"I'll take it" = "I don't want someone else to buy it at your price while I try to wiggle you down so I'm going to give all potential buyers the impression that it's sold because baseball cards are more important than my character."

Makes sense.

"I'll take it" should have been replaced with "what's your best price on this card?" You type "I'll take it" there is no negotiating. Jay is a good hobby buddy of mine, you will not speak to him like that Shoeless one. Please remove those dollar signs from your name if you can't play.

Glenn,

Do you have the feeling you're in the wrong on this one? If you post "I'll take it," there's no room for negotiation. It means you're buying it for the price and terms offered by the seller.

Pretty simple.

"I'll take it" = "I accept your offer." No gray area there.

Entirely within Jason's rights to post what he did. "I'll take it" means "I'll take it" and gives notice to all potential buyers that the card is sold at the asking price.

Great card, Jason.

why is it when someone calls you out, you always have to go and meet them? Why can't they ever come to you? It's always so hard with you, Glenn.

Just for everyone's clarification, here's the exchange so you can see the "Man" that Glenn is. Funny enough, I still don't have the funds in my account...

Seems pretty clear to me. When you say "I'll take it" that means you are buying the item at the price stated.

When someone reneges on a deal on Net54, members (and Leon) need to know. BST on Net54 only works if buyers and sellers operate consistently in good faith.

I don't get it. You tell him you'll pay for the card, then you don't pay for the card, he lets everyone know its still available, and you respond by saying he can't get laid and that you want to fight him. Seems weird YOU would be the one getting upset that you didn't pay for a card.

Oh, right. I'm selling a card. I forgot. Nice that it got so many views, though.

Would be interested to know if anyone could do the set with just the Martens back. I know of only one other Collins with this back.

Hey Folks
Glenn and I traded a lot of PMs.....this whole thing went down hill quick. I actually want this thread to go away, and am going to lock it, and Jason can start another one with the card. BTW, I don't think a Martens set would be possible. There are several that haven't been found yet, I believe. I think Glenn took things the wrong way, I do know of the sequences on the first deal that went sour too. Glenn has promised to chill and I say we just move on from it. thanks all....
