Default A Piece of Steak

Aaron,

There's a great Jack London short story titled A Piece of Steak with Tom King as the protagonist. It's a classic tale of age vs. youth. I've always wondered if it was based on the real Tom King [my guess is most likely that it was]. I've never read a better boxing story.

Default hello

It was. I believe it is based on a lot of prizefighters from that era. In the sense that most of them died in poverty.
