Default FS: Walter Johnson Single Signed Baseball

FS: Walter Johnson single-signed on a Spalding Official National League-International League baseball.

Dates to 1928 when Johnson was player/manager for the Newark Bears of the International League. The ball is inscribed to Robert McBride, the nephew of George McBride, Johnson's longtime Washington Senators teammate, and then coach at Newark. I purchased the ball directly from a member of the McBride family. More detail on that will be available to the purchaser of the ball, if wanted.

I don't have a COA on the ball, but I absolutely guarantee authenticity. There's no doubt the signature and ball are good. The ball itself is in spectacular condition with very strong stampings and nice toning.

Overall this is a nice Walter Johnson single-signed on a ball that's got a little Walter Johnson history attached to it. Johnson also made his last appearance in a pro baseball game with Newark on September 16, 1928, which would make this ball among the last he would sign as a player.

Please PM if you'd like a larger photo of the signature panel of the ball.

$3500

I'm open to offers, and also open to trade scenarios for early (1900-1910) NY Giants material. I don't collect traditional cards, but anything else is of interest.

Ray
