Default Cards as art - one each, Topps ‘52 to current?

I’m guessing others may have done something like this.... but would love to see/hear good ideas from others who may have created displays of Topps cards from ‘52 to current (or maybe a variation, thereof). Not star or HOF necessarily, but could be, I suppose. Trying to do this semi-affordably

Trying to imagine a cool way to lay out and display a great example of a run of cards like this, all Topps issues since the start ... or maybe Pre-War collectors have another spin on the same idea?

All ideas are welcomed - I’ll show mine once I come up with a plan (maybe all catchers as sample, ‘52 to 2021? Rotate positions 1 to 9 over and over again? Maybe only Red Sox for the run?)

Thx for any suggestions.

Jeff

1948

Sounds fun! I'll give it some thought.

Thought about 48 but it is a subset and not a stand alone. And if you include it do you have the include other supplemental or insert sets. What are the rules

Even for 51, do you pick one or include all 5 sets ?

This is getting hard. I actually did a binder for a friend some years back that included one card from 1951 ( used a Red back) through 1986,

Did not include 48 because I had no extras :-{

I had thought of doing this but just from 1951-1985. My goal was to pick 35 top players and have one of their cards and to not repeat a design/year. Each card would be a regular card, no multi-player rookies or other subsets. I never had the chance to follow through and now prices have gone ballistic, so it is not going to happen.
