Yep...I had a snipe set on that tonight, but I canceled it after another auction I won tonight went a little higher than I thought it would....but seeing as how Veangregg won it (and I think he got it cheap even considering the damage) I never had a chance anyway.

Given that Frank Chance and Joe McCarthy are pictured in the photo, it is indeed a cool piece.

This is a beautiful piece even under it's current condition. I think the high bidder got a great deal. I had been monitoring this auction for a while and decided not to put in a bid last night....had not realized that Chance/McCarty were on there!

Max, great eyes on the Chance...I should have looked at this a little closer. That's him on the lower left hand side...correct?

Thanks, that is a cool piece at a great price. However to state the obvious only veangregg could have won it at that price.

I hadn't even realized that Frank Chance was on there....Wow!!! Ah well I picked up a new NI postcard that I lost out on about a year ago so I'm happy.

George

"Great eyes"? --- well, only through the aid of -11.00 contact lenses and reading glasses

It is indeed Chance in the bottom left corner, with what looks like an axe stuck in his head.

veangregg - PCL collector who will find every PCL item on eBay no matter where it is listed, and crush whomever else bids on it.

(wish it was me )
