Reg, nice pick-up!
Unfortunately, you need a new scanner. Per Chris Browne (and others) who helped me in the thread below, you need one with the CCD scanning element. I can tell you from my own trial-and-error that this is imperative. Thanks to the very helpful board members who gave advice in this thread:

Both of those cards are sensational. Was there a recent find of gorgeous T206's that had something about them that SGC didn't like? Tony's were also amazing.

Thanks Scott, the McGraw has Oct. 2 1911 stamped on the otherwise flawless back. I think these came from the REA auction in May. The McCauley is a beauty front and back.

Default Honey and Kotton

I concur with Frank above...that's a great looking Honey Boy Heilmann card, Will!

Of course these threads are always a highlight of this board for me...each month a new museum is created!!!

For my offering, I added what is way near the top of my favorite cards list. Thanks to Eric (cozmo) for the superb transaction. T216 Bender w/Kotton back.

Default from the November Sterling auction...

I continue to pick up random T205's that catch my fancy...I can't say with certainty that I'm putting a set together but it certainly is beginning to look that way...

Thanks guys. This time around I'm picking up lower-grade examples of all my favorite cards, then will upgrade over the upcoming years.

I have never owned a Dimaggio card; however, I believe I did once own the Burke photo that was the basis for your card.

Not prewar but pretty cool find.

I am selling about 1/2 of my dads 52 topps set to fund a summer project for him. While researching prices i come across this current Memory Lane auction.

http://www.memorylaneinc.com/site/bi...etauctionid=93

Black star overprint what? Sure enough dad had one....almost sold it for $45.

Andy, that's a G-REAT 1st Cobb! I only have a red portrait and 'bat off' available, both in SGC 30 holders, and neither anywhere near as nice as yours. But if interested in either, PM me.

Very nice, Scott! One of the coolest portraits in the hobby, that Cobb.

I might have a new card to post for the next "favorite card" thread. Fittingly presented against a backdrop of Yankee pinstripes...

Default My first post from my collection

I just received these two cards. These are my first old judge cards and I am very pleased.
Kelly Front
Kelly Back

Harkins Front
Harkins Back

I am really excited about these. I don't think I could want a better two first Old Judge Cards.

Though I am still waiting on the very best December "Pickup". As my wife is due to go into labor any day. So these cards will very quickly be overshadowed.
