I'm looking for 1933 World Wide Gum #s 42, 44, 54, 62, 73, 88 in VG-EX or better to (almost) finish my set. Can anyone help? As soon as I receive my package from Lew Lipset, I'll have a bunch to trade, or would be happy to buy outright.

Thanks a million,
Geoff

Finally, it's somewhat OT, I am also looking for 1909 Players Cigarettes(?) Arms & Armour tobacco cards from the UK.

Still have about 70 Colgans for sale. Won't hurt to ask!
E-254s only; no HOF.

Need Old Judge Griffith, reasonable condition. More desirable Colgans might be included in a trade-cash deal for the Griffith.

Favorite baseball movie; Colgans (I think these have all been sold--makes sense, since i was scanning them for someone. Oh--the Northrup is a Tin Top--sent it by mistake. You, too, can get lucky!)

The Bill James Historical Baseball Abstract (1985 copyright).

I have no idea how to grade books, but this one has been read and there is no dust jacket. It looks like a used book, but isn't beat up or anything. A previous owner wrote on the inside cover "9/3/93 Gift from John Murphy" in small print.

Great read with section for each decade 1870 to 1970, for top players at each position and top 100 players in history, and then a section on records by position. A great deal of information, facts, and opinions with over 700 pages.

I will take $27.50 delivered.

From Publishers Weekly
The national pastime's most eminent statistician and the author of the annual Bill James Baseball Abstract here brings his formidable background to a history of the game, a must for fans. He begins with a decade-by-decade survey from 1870 through 1979, emphasizing the ethos of the sport (for example, the rowdyism of the 1890s) in each period. There are also brief sidebars on oddities and happenings outside the mainstream, including several by James's wife, Susan McCarthy, on changes in uniforms. The second section focuses on the players, with ratings position by position and a list of the game's 100 greatest players, determined by their value at their peak and through their entire careers. Finally, there is an examination of major players, whom James assesses by dozens of criteria. Contributor Jim Carothers opines in a footnote that "if the last library in the world were on fire," The Baseball Encyclopedia would be the book to save. Not so. The one at hand is as informative, and a lot more fun to read. Photos. Preferred Choice Bookplan selection; BOMC alternate. January

I'm also buying autographs, particularly players who died prior to 1992. An autographed T206 would fulfill my wildest dreams.

I will be putting a few on EBay tonight. They are all unfortunately SGC rejects for a variety of reasons

McGraw-repaired back
Oldring-evidence of trimming bottom edge
Demmitt-too small to encapsulate
Kelley-evidence of trimming bottom edge

No reserves. Happy Bidding

Need an E90-1 Joe Jackson - any condition, just as long as it is not altered in any way. Will take Poor, as long as it is a "complete" card. Prefer graded (GAI, SGC, PSA or Beckett), but will take a non-graded. Will pay cash or trade or a combo - up to the person with the card.

I am also in the process of selling several 150 Series T206's - some HOF'ers. I have several of the 150 Series Only issued cards ranging from GD - VG/EX. Also, I am going to start selling off my Sweet Caporal 150 Overprints that are not graded - HOF'ers included there as well, including two low grade Lajoie's, PSA 2 Matty White Cap and a nice VG/EX Johnson Portrait that came back from GAI as a 3.5! Also for sale - a RARE 1954 Wilson Franks Ted Williams - GOOD - $950 firm (includes insured shipping in the US or Global Priority outside the US). ONLY selling due to a recent upgrade! Feel free to e-mail me at tycobb@optidynamic.com if interested in any of the above or if you have an E90-1 Jackson for sale or trade - THANKS!

Still looking for any Cameo Pepsin pins, also interested in other oddball pin sets from before the 1930's. Also looking for Colgans, mainly E270's (both sets) and E254 w/ "208 in present series" backs.

Greetings,

Here are my top 3 wants at this moment:

- E92 Nadja Hall of Famer
- T206 Hall of Famer with Cycle or Carolina Brights back
- T68 Heroes / Men of History cards with Natural Leaf Scrap backs

Condition not that important as long as all of the card is still there!

Please drop me an email if you have any of the above for sale or trade.

Regards,

Mike McGrail

I am still looking for the elusive final five T-3s for my set: Evers, Speaker, Willis, Doolin, and Tenney (NY and Boston). Also looking for pre-war player postcards, and Geo. Burke 4X6 original photos.

I have a number of T-204 commons for trade (Vg and Vg+). Hope to hear from some of you.

Thank you, and have a happy May!

Regards, Mike

Looking for poor to fair condition e95 Wagner and/or Cobb. There always seems to be a few Cobb's on Ebay but the $495 BIN for a SGC/PSA 1 is a little high for me.

Thanks!

Bill Kasel

For Sale:

Scarce, regional 1896 Keith's Official Guide to the New England League of Base Ball Clubs. Edited by Jacob Morse Loaded with research info on the league and about a dozen Spalding ads for baseball equipment, etc. A nice, presentable 19th century baseball guide.

The price for this guide is: $ 300.00 (Priority Mail s&h and Insurance included in price)

It had been up on Ebay, but it failed to meet the reserve and I figured I'd give board members a crack at it before I put up on Ebay again. To view it please see the link for the closed auction below.

*NOTE: I may be putting up another 1890's NEL player cabinet for sale, (last one sold for $225) but I haven't decided on a price yet. I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks,
Adam

If you picked up any of the big groups of N172's from the RE Auction - I'm interested in any of the Boston players you might like to sell/trade.

Please be in touch with me if you'd like to have a dialogue about this.

Thanks in advance,

James Verrill

Those looking for something more offbeat may wish to check my current and future auctions. Typicaly my lots are unique and inexpensive (only the former is intentional).

Well, I got shut out of the Mastro and Edwards auctions but I was able to upgrade my E126 Babe Ruth so the week wasn't a total loss.

If anyone is interested I have just put up my original one on eBay as well as a few very nice E93s plus a few other itmes.
