Default How do you spot a fake Cracker Jack

Posted By: Bryan

This auction got me wondering how do you spot a fake cracker jack. I have no clue. I have always bought graded cracker jacks to stay on the safe side.

Not saying this is a reprint and not saying it isn't. I just don't know.

Thanks for your help.

Bryan -

The best guide for spotting fake CJ's came from Frank Ward: http://www.network54.com/Forum/message?forumid=153652&messageid=1082323450.

That Marquard looks dicey, IMO.

is to send it in to SGC, of course your creaseless card with nice corners is going to get a 30 but at least it will be authenticated...

The borders on that one are much much wider than the borders on the Marquard I own (and any other CJ I have), and they are considerably whiter than the white part of the uniform. Proceed with caution.

Bill, has your buddy Frank Ward posted anything about how to spot reprinted RPPC's?
