Default What is your favorite post war card that is NOT of a HOFer

Hey guys,

I'm curious what your favorite post war non-HOFer card is. Mine changes regularly but right now I think it's the 1984 Topps Don Mattingly.

What's yours?

Thanks,

AndyH

That's the same picture used for Dave's '75 Topps card. Why do you like this better than the regular issue?

Hey Brian!

No worries about the delayed welcome man. And regarding changing my mind about this topic frequently, I'm already beginning to be swayed in new directions after seeing other's favorites posted here.

Best.

I always loved the '76 Hostess set in general, maybe the red, white and blue bicentennial look and Parker was my favorite player of the era so........

Don't have scans of mine so sorry. But either the 1950 Bowman Al Rosen, the '52 Topps Pafko, or the '52 Topps Minoso.

Don't even get me started on Pete Rose. I think the point has been made, the horse kicked, and more than a few glue bottles filled. He's "done his time", so to speak. Pete should be in Cooperstown.

Default Speaking of Rose....

Maybe should be another thread, but here's my least fav card of a guy who is in the HOF, but whose baseball exploits make Pete look like a choirboy.

That's a great topic.

From a pure aesthetics standpoint I am hard-pressed to top this one:

I really like this one too, just a perfect depiction of Louisiana Lightning at his peak:

This one memorializes my fondest memory of baseball as a child:

Default Favorite not in HOF

Zernial has always been my number one. However this is a close second.
