Default Anyone familiar with eBay seller import-export-co?

Posted By: Ed McCollum

They list cards quite often, all graded, but use the old "image shows condition of card" and show only the fronts of the cards. I've tried in the past to contact them, using the "Ask seller a question" link on eBay, but never hear anything. Does anyone here know of them, or has anyone had dealings with them. Their feedback rate is a little lower than some, but with the number of sales they have had, that might be expected. Any info is appreciated.
Ed

I have been warned by many to steer clear, but I have no personal bad experience to report, be cautious.

I think it's run by Art Vandelay - he's been trying to focus more on the importing.

I've found this site (see link) is a great resource. Lots and lots of less than content customers for the seller you inquired about.

I would recommend that you avoid buying from them. They sent me the wrong card about six months ago. I returned the card and never received a refund. If you send me a private email, I will send you his name and email address.

I really do not understand, for someone like me that takes time for buyers and accepts returns on eBay its frustrating. Sellers like this should be gone from eBay, but with the amount of feedback and items they have in the system, it’s about percentage. With the new feedback system in place, I would think a seller like this would be gone within a few months. I am not a powerseller and could be, but instead I focus hard on what I do list and sell for better customer service.

imho, 96.6% feedback is not acceptable for someone with so many transactions. That's 3-4 negative for every 100 tranactions.

Leon,

you are correct, and what is most concerning about the new feedback system is many of the sellers will be able to continue this trend. I just have a hard time with these types of issues when they are posted. Makes me upset to see people getting screwed in a hobby that was made to be fun, not just on eBay, but in other examples as well that have been mentioned before on this board.

some of the negs.......looks like they list stuff with no reserve and if it doesn't meet what they're looking for on it, it MIGHT mysteriously get lost in the mail. You gotta love someone like that, huh?

Don't know if they monitor the board or what, but this is the first time, after many attempts, that they have responded to a question about a card at auction. Ed

I have bought 2 items from him in the last month and had no problems. The feedback scared me a bit, but it is skewed to some exent by unhappy individuals with multiple purchases. A really telling eBay statistic would be a rating based on unique user negatives.

He recently added about 45 T206's to eBay and how he came up with what they are worth is beyond me.

The only item I've ever purchased from them (a +$1000 card) took forever to ship, and when it arrived it was thrown into a box with just a couple of pieces of newspaper wrapped around it. Never again.
