Default 1916 Altoona Trbune Eppa Rixey

Greetings all, I was just checking my cards and I found a 1916 Altoona Tribune Eppa Rixey in a stack. I checked the POP reports for PSA and SGC and don't see any graded. I was not aware that back is rare. Like finding $.
I just had to post since I am so thrilled at the find. I added the scans.
Best to All,
Richard

PS I just found a nice Standard Biscuit Rixey also. Wow!

Congrats. So where's the "show" part of show and tell? Front and back scans would be appreciated here.

Altoona Tribune cards are one of the rare backs of the set. There was an Ed Walsh Altoona Tribune card in the last LoTG auction that was believed to be unique. Perhaps your Rixey card is as well. Cardtarget.com only shows four or five Altoona Tribune backs total sold among the entire set, one of which was a $40,000 Babe Ruth card.

IIRC, Old Cardboard lists the Altoona Tribune back as either one percent or less than one percent of the total population of M101-4/5s.

I'm very interested in this. I have recently been researching Gallitzin, Altoona, Lilly area for a project.

Default 1916 Altoona Tribune Rixey

Hi and thanks for the replies. I will scan the card and post pics for all. I just added the scans of the card. Before anyone asks where did I get the card I have been collecting since the 80's and have bought cards at shows, dealers, etc. It could have been Larry Fritsch but not certain. The paper is almost white and not the darker color of some of the other backs.

Very nice Richard. I have now confirmed 41 different subjects with the Altoona Tribune back, including 12 HOFers. For those interested, this is the 9th confirmed ad back for Rixey in m101-4/5.

EDITED TO ADD: STANDARD BISCUIT MAKES 10
