Default Thoughts on corners....

Posted By: Mike Williams

Folks,

Do these corners (bottom specifically) fit into your "Ex" type? A little more rounding than I'd like to see for Ex. Great card....but Vg/Ex in my book.

I have one PSA card in my collection and it is a 5 and looks to have the same amount of corner wear as this card.

I think the corners are a little rounded for a 5....more like a 4....or 4.5 regards

like this all day, but compared to this PSA 5, there's no way it's better than Vg/Ex.

I've got some PSA 4's that are much crappier looking and some SGC 5's that are much nicer. I'd say if the card has really nice registration and colors (we can't really tell from the scan), a 5 is merited.

At work and bored. At least you lucky snow birds have an excuse for goofing off.

My thoughts:

PSA 5 Young: tough call. Looks over graded in the 5 tomb but in a 4 tomb we may be calling it under graded. I like Leons "4.5" idea.

PSA 5 Cobb: looks a lot better then the grade. Wonder if the back is a clue to the grade.
