Default 1956 Yankees Team Signed Ball

What does a 1956 World Champion Team Signed (27 signatures) go for these days? Autographs are PSA graded at a 7. Overall ball is a strong PSA 5. Harridge is the Commissioner on the ball. Mantle and Berra are on the sweet spot.

Here it is: http://www.psacard.com/DNACert/S09244

What would folks see as a fair price for this ball?

Thanks for your opinion.

Don't believe that Mantle is authentic and the Berra is questionable. Wouldn't pay any where near the asking price.

The ball that Shelly posted is NOT the ball that I'm looking at buying.

My question to folks is what would a good price be on a 56 yankees ball signed with 27 authentic signatures including Mantle, Martin, Howard, Ford, Stengel, Slaughter, Berra and 20 other team members? PSA overall grade is a 5 with autographs grading at 7.

I understand the clubhouse signature angle....but PSA has not excluded any of the autographs as being clubhouse versions on the paper work for this ball. I have seen other PSA paperwork on 56 Yankee balls where they identify clubhouse autographs.....often Stengel.

For signed balls, values can be all over the place. The quality of the ball and signatures matter a lot, and the highest prices are going to be had for white balls and sharp crisp signatures.

Best to do your own research or just call or email one of the big auction houses, they can give you the best estimates.

Google "1956 Yankee Signed Baseball" should get you enough information to make an informed opinion.

Your ball is yellowed, but the signatures are bold enough. Yours also has Mantle and Berra together which I would say is a plus. Past auction prices range from $900-3500. I'd put yours in the $2000-2500 range but at auction could go higher or lower.

PS. It's not considered good form to start a new thread on a top for which you already posted.

The Mantle is club house. Sorry I should have posted it. I sent the site to Lincolon. If the Mantle where to be authentic I think the ball would be 3500 plus because of the condition.
Zip your eye is becomeing much more refined. I guess when you look into space that happens

So, you guys think the PSA ball (see link at the top of this thread) could go for somewhere between $2,000 and $3,500? Seems a bit low to me, given that this was a Mantle triple crown year, but than again I'm not a Yankees guy. Also 1956 was a World Champion team....perfect game pitched by Larson who isn't on the ball, oh well, maybe he was busy warming up for the game...

Other opinions?

Thanks.

I don't think it would go that high. Here's one that looks to be in much nicer shape as far the signatures go, and it includes Larsen (who IMO is pretty dang important to have on a 56 Yankees ball due to his legendary World Series performance). Doesn't have Stengel I don't think, but his absence wouldn't bother me near as much as the absence of Larsen

This one sold for $1673 which includes buyers premium in January of 2013.

Default Yanks ball

Cool ball but light on the sig count... Missing lares and scooter hurts it... I don't think it is worth anywhere near 2k

That is what I have been seeing as well....auction sales in the 2,000 -- 3,000 range depending on who is on the ball. Non-clubhouse Stengel also seems to be key.

I have handled many Yankee and Mets balls as a dealer.
One interesting fact I have noted is that Stengel signatures on Yankee balls are quite rare but he is ALWAYS on Mets balls.
Something Freudian there??

Perhaps it was mandated by the club higher ups with the Mets. He was the face (and mouth) of the franchise so perhaps they mandated that he sign everything in site with a team logo. Could also just be his sense of duty knowing how important he was to the fledgling team.
