Default RR Auctions - extra PSA Cert purchase

I notice on most of this auction house's items they offer the PSA cert for a mere $250 extra

http://www.rrauction.com/bidtracker_detail.cfm?IN=1446

I have a problem with it, in that I've never seen other auction houses charge extra.

On the one hand they don't force you to get it, but still irks me. Should be included. And $250 seems a bit high, or is that what PSA charges for a Ruth & others team ball? Still, I don't care for it.

A Ruth signed ball alone would run you $300 for a PSA authentication, since it is a multi-signed item the price would be I believe at least and extra $100. So a minimum of $400 to have that ball authenticated by PSA. That is how I read the latest PSA authentication fees tables.

With that in mind RR's offer of just $250 is a nice discount.

Correct. I believe the fee to have it done through RR represents a discount from the standard PSA submission fees, plus you don't have postage back and forth from PSA.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I am a consultant for RR Auction.

so if you choose to get one, does it delay it's arrival to you then? Does RR have to send it to PSA and wait for it to come back?

You get a coupon and have to send it in yourself to PSA. They do guarantee that it will pass.

I'm not sure that is accurate. From what I understand it is done through RR with no extra postage. I recommend calling RR for details, 603-732-4280.

I've done this before. No extra postage but it did delay the delivery of my item. No coupons.

I recommend you take your coupon to the doctors office and have your head examined. For any level minded individual to pay that kind of money for a BS authentication from PSA. Now that's funny.... $300.00 LOLOLOLOLL what iidiots.com
